Myofascial Release? What is that and why is it important?

ELI5: Relaxes muscles by combining pressure and stretching at the same time.

In Depth: There are over 400 specific protocols that address specific dysfunctions in how we move thoughout our day. These problematic patterns can cause tendon inflammations, ligament issues, muscle spasms, circulation problems as well as nerve entrapments like carpal tunnel syndrome. Myofascial Release is used to treat pain and muscle tightness that results from myofascial trigger points or restrictions in the fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds muscles. The goal of myofascial release is to release these tight areas, improve blood flow, restore range of motion, and reduce pain.
